Microbes in our Midst

Last night I attended my first meeting as a member of the Henrici Society for Microbiologists. This is a Twin Cities-based group of working and retired microbiologists who meet to network and learn. This meeting’s presentation was from EcoLab and featured the following picture:

The point was that everyone in the picture has a good chance of getting sick, thanks to Mr. Vomit up there.

He also pointed out that, statistically speaking, the dirtiest thing in a home is the dishrag near the sink. A quick way to prevent spreading microbes is to wash your dishrag often or even put it in the microwave for a minute every couple days.
