This week, I’d like to share some of my own music with my reader/listeners. I’ve been recording lots of wordless, ambient songs lately and these are two of those. I’m going to try streaming the tracks, so click the embedded music players below to hear them. I think they both start playing at the same time, so you’ll want to stop one of them and listen to each in turn.
UPDATE: Holy bandwidth, Batman! Please direct yourselves to my MySpace page where I’ve also posted the songs. Thanks!
First is a song I’ve titled “Lonely at the Termination Shock”. It’s a song about unmanned space travel.
Second is a newer mix of a track I posted last year on my MySpace page called “The World Outside My Window”. This track was recorded last May during a rain shower. I recorded the sounds from the window and played over them (adding some guitar effects along the way).
I hope you enjoy them!
Also, I have two links to share with you.
Here is a free downloadable album of indie songs being distributed by Adult Swim. There are some really good artists featured here!
And here is an article from Pitchfork about the dark clouds gathering above Internet radio stations. I’m assuming this bill would effect services such as Pandora and Last.fm (although Last.fm is based overseas, so they may be excempt). Please take a minute to read it and support Internet Radio.
